Charles made and maintains Veddw Garden along with his wife, ranter Anne Wareham.

He also has an entertaining walking blog (https://charleshawes.veddw.com/ Walking the Blog) illustrated with more great photographs.

He has has been taking photographs professionally since 1999 and has illustrated two books – ‘Discovering Welsh Gardens’ and ‘The Bad Tempered Gardener. He has over 9,000 images with GAP Photos and over 7,000 with Getty, where images from his walking blog dominate.
